Description

Mission Statement:
The mission of East Village Youth Program is to encourage and prepare primarily low-income, Latino youth for a college education. EVYP further strives to support these youth as they pursue their college degrees and enter professional careers.

EVYP provides program services to underserved youth primarily of Latino descent, but is open to all low-income youth. Included in the vast array of services are the following programs:
• Academic support and enrichment
• Individualized tutoring
• Mentoring
• School transition workshops
• Character development, leadership training and service learning programming
• Cultural and recreational enrichment activities
• College preparatory training
• College scholarships
• Career awareness and counseling programming
• Outreach workshops in local schools
• Parent support services and training
