East Louisville Community Ministry, Inc. (ELCM)
is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit originally formed by a group of churches to minister to basic human needs of persons living in the neighboring community: Phoenix Hill, Smoketown, Butchertown, Shelby Park, and the Eastern portion of Downtown in Louisville, KY. This includes portions of Zipcodes: 40202, 40203, 40204, 40206, and, for certain grants, a small portion of 40208

The primary focus of ELCM is Homleness Prevention through brief financial assistance for: Rent/Mortgage payments, Light/Gas/Electric Bills, edication Assistance. At times, this inlcludes school supplies to prevent homelessness due to educational neglect.

When funding and in-kind donations permit, ELCM provides school supplies, clothes, and Thanksgiving and/or Christmas assistance.
