Description

Our programs provide pivotal hands-on STEM experiences for students through our Kid Zone Competition (KZC), Try-Math-A-Lon (TMAL) and Robotics (EDC).

NSBE Jr. focus is on enhancing the education received by African-American and other minority pre-college students, as well as influencing these students to become tomorrow's corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders. The hands on science projects are design to introduce at-risk minority students to science and technology.

KZC is specifically target toward at-risk minority students in grades 3 through 5, and design to help prepare them for academic challenges in the STEM disciplines. The students will gain an interest in STEM to excel academically in their current grade level, and pave the way for future successes in education. The activities enhance the critical thinking skills and the scientific process. TMAL is a tutoring program meant to foster good study habits to help prepare for SAT/ACT and standardized tests.
