Description
Circle of Care assists children and families coping with illness and loss, through support groups, crisis intervention services, home-based counseling, school-based counseling, and support services. Circle of Care is a program of the East Bay Agency for Children and is one of very few programs in the country devoted exclusively to the needs of children and their families who face these overwhelming family crises.
Support groups are offered for families living with illness and families in which a parent or caregiver has died. Wew serve children age toddler-17 and provide a safe place to share experiences and explore feelings. Parent/caregiver groups meet at the same time and location.
Individual counseling services are home/office-based and are designed to support children and their parents/caretakers during the crisis of illness, loss, bereavement, or trauma.
