The Dyslexia Awareness and Resource Center, founded in 1991 is located in Santa Barbara, California. For the last 19 years, the Center has provided information and support services free of charge, to low income/at risk children with dyslexia and attention disorder and other learning disabilities. The Mission of the Dyslexia Awareness and Resource Center is to educate, advocate, support and raise the awareness of low income/at risk children on the subjects of dyslexia, attention disorders and other learning disabilities by providing comprehensive information and instruction through workshops, educational programs, referrals, advocacy, emotional support and resources
