Description
The Durham Literacy Center (DLC) empowers Durham residents by providing tuition-free literacy instruction to over 500 adults, out-of-school youth, and speakers of other languages throughout seven locations in Durham County each year. Over the last 22 years, more than 1,000 DLC-trained tutors have helped over 10,000 adults and out-of-school teens reach their educational goals and pursue jobs that provide living wages.
