Description
The Dungeness River Audubon Center provides a wide variety of environmental education for children and adults on the north Olympic Peninsula, including school field trips, natural history classes, informative presentations, summer camps, and community festivals. Its mission is to inspire understanding, enjoyment, and stewardship of the Olympic Peninsula's unique natural and cultural resources, with emphasis on birds, rivers, fish, and people. It is situated in and operates Railroad Bridge Park, a beautiful park on the shores of the Dungeness River about two miles west of downtown Sequim, WA, providing the best public access to the lower Dungeness River. With a small staff and many dedicated volunteers, it has become a leader in environmental education for the north Olympic Peninsula.
