The Mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. This innovative model connects resources of talented professionals, community businesses and hundreds of community agencies to provide women the tools needed to break the cycle of poverty. Educational programs, such as the Career Center, Financial Literacy, Job Acquisition (Going Places Network), Job Retention (Professional Women’s Group) and Mentoring are examples of the many resources our clients can utilize at Dress for Success (DFS) Charlotte. In 2011, Dress for Success Charlotte served 979 women.
