Hello!
I am the cofounder
of The DOVES Guidance Program, a non profit organization offering free horsemanship
lessons to youth ages 7 to 18 years of age. DOVES is an acronym for Discovering Our Visions
through Equestrian Services. We offer horse assisted therapy to children at risk including but not
limited to; children from single parent families, adopted, fostered and blended families,
emotionally troubled children, socially challenged, behavior issues, leaning issues, children who
are victims of abuse and many other special needs children. We also occasionally rescue horses
out of neglected situations, which we rehabilitate for use in our program. Horses are proven to
have incredible value as a therapy animal and their uncanny ability to connect with children is an
awesome phenomenon.
