Description
Funds will be used for building a playground in a predominantly low-income, racially diverse neighborhood which has no proximity to any other parks or other accessible play areas. It is our hope that by coming together as a neighborhood in this endeavor, that we can not only build a playground where children can be safe and engage in creative play, and where families can meet and form lasting bonds, but also that this project will help foster a sense of community, encourage leadership among our youth, illicit a feeling of pride in accomplishing a goal, and will enable the neighborhood to grow together.
