Description
The Divide Women's Club is a volunteer service club, established in 1927, on the Georgetown Divide, in Cool, California. The club is nonpartisan and nondenominational and is an affiliate of the Calif. Federation of Women's Clubs and General Federation of Women's Clubs. Our mission is to annually fund one or more scholarships to be awarded to a graduating senior(s), from the Golden Sierra High School in Georgetown, California. We further provide a venue for monthly meetings in which local women may congregate for the purpose of addressing the diverse needs of our community, including education, preserving natural resources, encouraging healthy lifestyles, working on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, advocating for issues of concern to women, children and families and supporting participation in the arts.
