Description
Discovery is dedicated to fostering self-sufficiency in blind and visually impaired children and adults by improving their mobility, confidence, independence, and social skills through involvement in physical activities. Discovery addressed these goals by pioneering methods for teaching challenging sports to people with little or no vision, by involving families and friends in these activities, and by promoting positive public awareness of visually impaired individuals and their accomplishments.
Discovery strives to make its activities available to all blind and visually impaired individuals. There are a limited number of scholarships available to help with costs of sports activities, equipment, transportation, and housing. Please inquire with Program Co-ordinator.
