Description
Detroit Artists Market (DAM) is the oldest continuously-operating contemporary art gallery in Detroit. It was founded in 1932, in the midst of the Great Depression, by a group of local art patrons who recognized that local artists needed a place to exhibit and sell their work. DAM fosters a vibrant and distinctive artistic community in Detroit and Michigan by promoting, exhibiting, and selling the work of emerging and established artists. DAM achieves this through educational programming, art exhibitions, and by serving as a resource to all who seek to expand their knowledge, understanding, and enjoyment of art.
