Description
Derry NH Lions Club raises and provides funds for eye exams, eye glasses, eye screenings, hearing tests, hearing aids, as well as community education, directed to inform and assist NH residents deal with the challenges related to diabetes, loss of hearing and/or sight. Derry Lions Club also offers two annual college scholarships. We also sponsor our local soup kitchen, provide gifts for Derry nursing home residents, perform highway clean-up, donate funds, to Derry library, to purchase books on tape, recycle eye glasses. We stock our local fishing pond and host a annual children's fishing derby, as well as a member's family BBQ & holiday party. Additionally, we sell Christmas trees, host an annual pancake breakfast, yard sales, and many other events.
