Description

DBSA-CS is a consumer led support program for adults and young people dealing with depression, bipolar, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. It has ten weekly meetings, including one specifically for Veterans, one for survivors of sexual assault, one for individuals who are also dealing with addiction, and one for the families and caregivers of those with mood disorders. All meetings are open and free. The chapter also offers a Consumer Resource Center, a free lending library with a comprehensive collection of books, tapes, DVDs, and articles on the subject. Volunteer members participate in numerous community health fairs throughout the year and provide several events open to all who desire to learn more about managing mood disorders.
