Description
Founded in 1957, the Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s first no kill animal shelter and adoption center. We are committed to providing for the needs of homeless dogs and cats in our community. Serving over 5,000 companion animals annually through direct intervention and many more through advocacy, we continue to promote the humane values of protection, care, and compassion for all living things.
DHA serves the community by offering low-cost vaccination clinics, educational workshops, and affordable spay/neuter services. We receive no government funding, and rely on the support of the community in the form of volunteers, private donations, bequests, fundraising events, and our popular Guardian Angel Program.
