Description
Deep Springs International is a 501c3 non-profit organization working in Haiti to combat the water crisis. DSI has a unique approach that impacts youth entrepreneurship and economic growth in collaboration with water treatment technology. Youth are educated in a dual curriculum of science/health and small business skills. Through this 6 month program they are equiped to start and run their own businesses, specifically point-of-use (POU) water treatment businesses. By making POU products available in their communities, the students increase the quality of drinking water and decrease the incidence of water-borne disease. DSI is utilizing youth entrepreneurship to sustainably change communities in rural Haiti.
