DCM prevents and alleviates homelessness through three primary programs:
• Family Transitional Housing: A long-term transitional program to move families with children from homelessness to self-reliance within six to 24 months.
• Hagar’s House: An emergency night shelter for homeless mothers and their children.
• Project Take Charge: A homelessness prevention program that provides emergency assistance with rent, mortgage, utilities, and food to families experiencing a temporary financial crisis.
DCM also operates the Expanding Horizons Technology Center that offers clients computer and internet access as well as individualized assistance with internet research, job searches, resumes, and even homework.
