Description

Deaf Prison Ministries Network (DPMN) is a non-profit network of people & churches who minister to Deaf people who are directly or indirectly affected by crime.

*DPMN works with faith based prison ministries, churches, govt. & social service agencies, legal & advocacy organizations, & prisons to raise awareness & meet the needs of Deaf people who are incarcerated, formerly incarcerated or have relatives who are incarcerated or formerly incarcerated.

*DPMN develops materials to be used to educate & train people & organizations to better meet the needs of Deaf people who are affected by crime.

*DPMN works with Deaf people who are affected by crime to meet their personal, emotional, spiritual & physical needs, primarily by referrals to organizations and/or people in the network.

*DPMN has set up the 1st halfway house for Deaf people to help them when they are released from prison. Healing Hands Ranch opened in 2007 & is located near Houston, Texas.
