Description
The David H. Lawson Foundation was organized for charitable and educational purposes to benefit citizens with developmental and/or other intellectual disabilities.
Dr. David Lawson was committed to expanding opportunities and enhancing the quality of life of persons with developmental and/or other intellectual disabilities for over 30 years.
The Foundation is continuing his legacy by supporting programs and initiatives to increase access to quality services.
We envision organizations and individuals working collaboratively and creatively to satisfy the needs and choices of the consumers we are dedicated to supporting.
Our mission is to increase access to health and habilitation programs and support initiatives so that more people with developmental and/or other intellectual disabilities will receive the health and life-enriching services they need and want. We will advance this mission by:
* Supporting the diverse, individualized needs and choices of people with development disabilities or intellectual disabilities.
* Developing collaborative relationships with others who want to increase needed services and supports for people with development disabilities or intellectual disabilities.
* Building capacity by developing or contributing to professional training services and supports for people with development disabilities or intellectual disabilities.
