Description
The National Society of the Daughters of the British Empire in the U.S.A., is a 501(c)2, non-political, non-sectarian, voluntary American society of women of British or British Commonwealth birth or ancestry.
The primary objective of the DBE is the financial support of the four District Homes for retired men and women who are residents and/or citizens of the U.S. These homes are located in each of of the four regions of the DBE in the U.S.
The 30th Administration of the National Society is headquarted in Houston, Texas.
The Soci.ety has chapters in each organized State. Each state is administered by a Board of Officers elected from the membership. California, due to the large population and area is divided into three "mini" States.
