Description
We are a 501(c)(3) organization (www.dcfhr.com) created to rescue, rehabilitate, and relocate starved, neglected, and abandoned horses and other equines. Our organization began in 2008. Since then, we have taken in over sixty horses, minis, and donkeys and have been able to find good loving homes for almost fifty of these beautiful animals that needed a second chance. In doing so, we have helped not only the horses, but also owners. We have spoken at 4-H and saddle club meetings, participated in community events, and worked with law enforcement agencies and animal shelters.
