Description

The Amateur Hockey Association of North Texas is a not for profit organization (501c3). Founded in 2000 by the Dallas Stars, and subsequently managed by a volunteer group of parents who setup the association as it functions today.
Teams skate under the name of the Dallas Stars Selects, and wear the official uniforms of the Dallas Stars.

Philosophy:
The philosophy of the Dallas Stars Selects (DSS) Hockey Program rests on the firm foundation of three principles: teamwork, positive attitude and skill development. It is by emphasizing these principles that we hope to assist parents in teaching their children important lessons about values, commitment, respect for authority and the rewards of a job well done without limiting the measure of success to the scoreboard.
