The Daily Planet is the premier service provider to Richmond's homeless & underprivileged population offering a wide scope essential health and human services.
The Daily Planet's major service areas are designed to address the comprehensive needs of our clients through the following programs: 1. The Daily Planet Health Care for the Homeless Clinic: Patient care in following areas: Primary Health; Mental Health; Vision; Dental 2. Intensive Case Management Services: "Project Strive", a Life Skills & Job Training Program; Substance Abuse Counseling; basic services & facility access including mail delivery, banking, a clothing closet, shower and laundry. 3. Safe Haven: A 22-bed transitional housing facility for the mentally ill or dually diagnosed homeless men & women with comprehensive service plans to address individual needs related to: Mental Health & Substance Abuse; Medical & Housing; “Basic Needs” service & facility access; Life, Employment & Social Skill Development.
