Description
The D.C. Employment Justice Center (EJC) opened its doors on Labor Day 2000 with a mission to secure, protect, and promote workplace justice in the D.C. metropolitan area. Since then, the EJC has taken a holistic approach to employment justice, using a full range of strategies, including legal services, education, systemic reform advocacy, and community organizing. We believe that enforcing the rights of the most vulnerable raises the floor of rights and expectations for all workers. To date, the EJC has returned 2.5 million dollars in back pay, benefits, and other damages to low wage workers.
