Description
The goal of the CWA Hockey Club, Inc. is to host, organize, volunteer and participate in charitable events. Our organization provides ice time, trains potential hockey players of all ages, encourages participation in a team environment and plays ice hockey as a team in charitable events as a means of promoting sportsmanship within our community. All proceeds from auctions, raffles, sponsors and spectators at our charitable events are donated to 501(c)(3) organizations and youth programs throughout our community. We raise donations from neighbors and co-workers to support an annual holiday food drive delivering much needed food to local food pantries and soup kitchens during the holiday season. The vast majority of volunteers and members of CWA Hockey Club, Inc. are labor union members from the Communications Workers of America employed by New York Telephone.
