Description
Since 1992, Crossroad Health Center (CHC) has been providing comprehensive, primary healthcare services within Cincinnati's inner-city for adults and children -- 83% of whom live at less than the poverty level. Crossroad's mission is to provide accessible comprehensive health care in partnership with patients and the community, leading to healthy changed lives. CHC strives to provide excellent healthcare that treats the whole person -- mind, body and spirit -- regardless of a person's ability to pay for services. The Center's ultimate vision is for individuals within the community to take responsibility for their own health. Approximately 40% of Crossroad's 5000 patients are uninsured. A bi-lingual staff provides culturally appropriate services to Spanish speaking patients. Services include immunizations, yearly health exams, management of acute and chronic health problems, pre-natal care, podiatry and mental health services.
