Description

Crime Stoppers provides a means for members of the public to report information about a crime in such a manner that they can remain anonymous. We turn that information over to the involved law enforcement agency and if their investigation leads to the arrest and charging of a suspect, Crime Stoppers then pays a reward of up to $1,000 to the person providing the tip. Funds donated are used to keep the contact methods operational - toll free number, website, and text messaging; let us build awareness in the public about what we do and how to contact us; coordinate increasing the visibility of unsolved cases with law enforcement agencies and work with the media to assist in the collecting of useful information for solving crimes. We also coordinate our Youth Against Crime (YAC) program in high schools so that students can report through text messaging information about behavior that impacts them such as bullying, sexting, harassment, drugs, gangs, planning violence, etc.
