Description
Crime Stoppers’ mission is to solve and prevent serious crime in the Greater Houston area in partnership with citizens, media and the criminal justice system. Since 1981, Crime Stoppers has operated, 713-222-TIPS, an anonymous tip line designed to reward callers up to $5,000 in exchange for their accurate crime tips.
In 2009, tips to Crime Stoppers arrested 825 felons, solved 970 crimes and paid more than $790,000 in cash rewards!

Since 1981, our organization has helped solve 28,504 crimes, including 1,304 home burglaries, 3,745 robberies and paid more than $7.9 million in cash rewards.
-We protect your children at school.
Since 1997, our Safe School Program has removed 228 weapons, including 72 firearms, and solved 991 narcotic cases.
-We arrest dangerous felons.
Since 1981, tips have helped arrest 21,431 felony suspects, and helped solve 356 Capital Murders and 512 Murders.
