The Crim Fitness Foundation has evolved from one man’s dream of creating a race as a source of revenue to support the local efforts of Special Olympics. Today, some thirty years later, the Crim serves as the community catalyst for addressing the obesity epidemic in our city, our county and our state.
The Crim Fitness Foundation currently serves over 11,000 children annually with fitness programs in every Flint Public Elementary School and over 38 out-county schools. Our adult fitness training program has the largest running training program of its kind in the nation, and the Crim Festival of Races is the largest event of its kind in the state and the third largest ten mile race in the nation. All of these programs are designed to serve the people of Flint AND bring positive attention to our city.
