Description
Corridor School is a magnet alternative program which draws students from throughout the Eugene District. Children are enrolled in the program through the lottery system. Of the 260 children in Corridor, 36.4% are eligible for free and reduced lunch, and about 40 students receive services from our Mildly Handicapped Learning Center in reading, writing and math. 11 students have been identified as Talented and Gifted. Much of what happens at Corridor is driven by the desire for every student to feel successful somewhere in the day. Choice is the essence of Corridor School-not only the choice to be here since it is a magnet school, but also the many choices throughout the school day as to how the children will accomplish mastery of a certain skill.
