Contrepreneurs® is a social enterprise established in 2006 to bring access to America’s free-marked economy to physically, sensory, and socially challenged individuals. Our name, Contrepreneurs®, is a registered trademark that means “contrary entrepreneur”. It literally conveys our vision of creating business owners out of people who, despite their challenges, want to be business owners.
Contrepreneurs® functions as the backend interface to investors or donors – depending on the preferred business creation track. Contrepreneurs® operates as two completely separate corporations, a for-profit and a not-for-profit. Both companies are dedicated to supporting individuals seeking viable entry into America’s free-market economy through business ownership.
