Description
The Conquistador Program is a registered 501c3 nonprofit equine welfare charity. The mission of the Conquistador Program is to rescue, rehabilitate and find lifetime loving homes for equine victims of cruelty, neglect, homelessness or equines at risk of going to slaughter and to advocate for equine welfare.
The Conquistador Program has 3 programs:
1) The Conquistador rescue program rescues and rehabilitates equines in need.
2) The Conquistador advocacy program works to improve equine welfare through advcacy for equine welfare legislation, by supporting law enforcement in ending equine cruelty and through education.
3) The Conquistador visiting program takes Conquistador, a victim of severe equine cruelty who was blinded in one eye but recovered to become a multiple champion, to put on performances at therapeutic horsemanship programs for other indivicuals who are working to overcome their physical challenges.
