Description
The heartbeat of Compassion Coalition is to inform and equip thousands of volunteers to move beyond the walls of our church buildings and into our community to be the loving, serving presence of Christ.
The “Love In the Name of Christ” Clearinghouse is a telephone helpline for people such as single mothers, isolated elderly, homeless travelers, or those who may have recently lost their jobs. The phones are staffed by volunteers who refer callers to ministries and agencies in the community.
The Furniture Ministry is a collaboration between seventeen church teams and ministries who collect and deliver quality, used furniture to needy recipients in our community.
“Circles of Support” is a faith-based mentoring program for formerly homeless neighbors who live in permanent supportive housing. Mentoring teams partner with professional case managers and spend time each week with the neighbor developing a positive, nurturing network as he integrates into our community.
