Description
The mission of Community Thread is to promote, support, and encourage volunteerism to serve the needs of the community. Through direct and indirect services we impact poverty, education, volunteer management, and community involvement and isolation. Our name symbolizes the belief that each act of service is a thread that ties people, communities and lives together. Our vision is a community where people help each other.
Community Thread serves more than 17,000 people annually through six core programs: The Volunteer Center, Stillwater and Bayport Senior Centers, Neighborhood Service Exchange, Transportation Program, Holiday Bureau, and the Medical Reserve Corps.
2010 marks our 43rd year of service to the St. Croix Valley in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
