Description
CRT is the largest of the State’s Community Action Agencies and one of the oldest of its kind in the nation. It has operated in Hartford County since 1963, helping people to break the cycle of poverty and has been serving residents of Middlesex County since 1999. A private non-profit organization incorporated in 1963, CRT is committed to helping people meet basic needs while promoting and supporting self-sufficiency. Since its inception, CRT has utilized its resources in both the public and private sectors as the region's primary organization to reduce the consequences of poverty. All programs are reflective of CRT’s mission of “preparing our community to meet life’s challenges”.
