Description
For over 40 years, Community Ministry has served Southwest Denver families with emergency food, clothing, and supportive resources such as school supplies, utility assistance and information and referral services. Community Ministry was founded with the recognition that families facing multiple challenges can be supported with emergency food, clothing and local community support and return to self sufficiency. . In 1968, eight churches sponsored Community Ministry; today, 28 churches provide in-kind contributions of food and volunteers. Community Ministry partners with local churches, schools, and businesses to provide much needed emergency assistance to 1,000 of families a year.
