The mission of Community Human Services is to alleviate the human suffering and community problems in Monterey County caused by substance abuse and mental health issues. Many of our clients are low income, uninsured, unemployed or homeless.
By providing prevention, counseling and recovery services, CHS programs create a safety net for those who want to help but can least afford care. Intervention with at-risk youth and families prevents greater need for social services in the future.
Services are provided to youth, adults and families at sites in Monterey, Seaside, Salinas and King City, as well as school sites in Carmel, Pacific Grove, North Monterey County and Salinas.
