Founded in 2000, the Community Foundation of Tompkins County exists to encourage and support local philanthropy and civic engagement as a means of sustaining and enhancing the quality of life for those who live and work in Tompkins County by:
1-making strategic grants as community investments
2-encouraging the growth of a permanent charitable endowment
3-providing donors with vehicles to make giving easy and effective
4-serving as a catalyst and convener
