Description
Since 1979, Community Energy Project has been providing free Weatherization workshops and materials for income-qualified participants in Portland, Oregon. For those unable to attend workshops or do the work taught in the class due to a disability, CEP goes out into the community with volunteers to weatherize homes for seniors and people with disabilities.
Since 2000, CEP has also been providing free Lead Poisoning Prevention workshops to prevent the detrimental damage caused to children by lead in the home. With this workshop, free materials are given to Portland residents, regardless of income.
