Description
Since our beginning in 2000, the driving mission of the Center has been to bring people together for learning, sharing, and growing. We feel education is a cornerstone in building a strong community, and we believe that everyone benefits when we create an environment of mutual respect and acceptance. Such beliefs are expressed through our programs:
English as Second Language (ESL). Day and evening classes are available.
Food Pantry. Helping to feed the hungry in downtown Charleston.
Project Connecting Hands. Transforming lives through education and support.
TOTS Mornings Out. Providing preschool education to children of our ESL students.
All programs are funded entirely by contributions, grants, and proceeds earned through fundraising events. We are grateful to those individuals and businesses that support our work in the heart of the city. The Community Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency.
