Description
Communities In Schools (CIS) of Florida is the Florida state office for CIS, a national network of independent, nonprofit organizations that help at-risk students successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life. The CIS philosophy is that every child needs and deserves five basics, which are provided through:
•Personal relationships with caring adults,
•Safe places to learn and grow,
•A healthy start and healthy future,
•Marketable skills to use upon graduation, and
•Chances to give back to peers and community.
