The Lorraine and Jack N. Friedman Commission for Jewish Education (CJE) was founded in 1990 to serve the Jewish educational needs of the greater Palm Beach community. The CJE is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and works closely with the Federation and area synagogues and agencies to coordinate local Jewish educational opportunities. Though CJE has sites in West Palm and Boynton Beach, many of its programs take place throughout the Palm Beach community.
The scope of services provided by includes:
• programming for children, families, adolescents, and young adults of all ages;
• consultations to agencies and schools regarding Jewish education;
• university-style adult education; and
• a full range of professional development courses, including a Bachelor's Degree in Jewish Studies and a Master’s Degree in Jewish Education in partnership with Siegal College of Judaic Studies.
