Description
Partners In Conservation (PIC) completed its 15th year of operation in 2006. Under the auspices of the Columbus Zoo, PIC supports conservation programs and humanitarian projects in East Central Africa AND CONSERVATION EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED STATES. WE CURRENTLY TAKE THE PROGRAM INTO BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS (K-12) IN SEVERAL STATES. Partners In Conservation’s central mission is to help preserve wildlife, including the endangered mountain gorillas, and to economically improve the lives of the people living in close proximity to the rainforests. PIC believes in a conservation model that includes the following approach: if you respectfully assist the needs of the local population, the forest will remain intact and the animals will survive.
