Description
Columbus House, based in New Haven, Conn., strives to serve people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, by providing shelter and housing and by fostering their personal growth and independence.
Since 1982, Columbus House has provided services for homeless adults serving close to 3,000 clients annually.
Columbus House offers comprehensive case management services agency-wide through emergency, transitional and permanent supportive housing. Case managers provide assessment and referrals to appropriate community services to help clients identify and overcome many of the root causes of their homelessness.
Columbus House has outreach and engagement teams as well as Mentorship and Leadership programs and also runs the Road to Recovery transportation program.
