Columbia County Historical Society - CCHS


The Columbia County Historical Society (CCHS) is a 501c(3) organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Columbia County New York. It owns the National Historic Landmark Luykas Van Alen House, the James Vanderpoel House, and the Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse. CCHS also holds and extensive collection of art and objects significant to the county's history which it displays regularly at the Columbia County Museum and Library. The Society has a research library, genealogical files, and an extensive education program.
