A non-profit, 503(C) corporation that is an assisted living facility.
We are self funded, raise money through direct mail to our own members, have garage sales, receive some funds from the Atlanta Jewish Community and writing grants.
We house up to 42 frail, elderly people. What makes us different is the level of care and love that goes with this home. Although I (the writer, Elise Kurian) am a paid employee now, I was a volunteer until November. My mother is a resident and has been for almost 4 years during which the care and love given to her has kept her living and thriving at 87. We have residents on large scholarships and we also want to be able to buy a van and take our residents where they'd like to and need to go.
