The Church Of The Exceptional-
This interracial, non-denominational ministry is for the physically and mentally handicapped, and has operated since 1974.
Most of those who attend the services are residents of nursing or
group homes in the area, and are transported by one of the five vans
that the church owns and operates.
At each service, those who attend are given an opportunity to
participate in the worship service. The involvement of as many as
twelve or more individuals allows them to grow in their understanding of the
reverence and order of worship in a setting that is geared to their
abilities and level of comprehension.
