Xavier Mission is the community outreach arm of the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City. Operating since 1983, we continue our long tradition of service to those in need by offering five outreach programs: the Welcome Table soup kitchen, serving 1200 meals each Sunday and offering legal assistance, chiropractic care, and benefits outreach; the All Saints Clothing Room, providing business and casual clothing for 50+ individuals each week; the Hurtado Men’s Shelter, sleeping 15-18 men, 7 nights a week; the Customer-Choice Food Pantry, serving 110 families per month; and the Life-Skills Training & Empowerment Program (L-STEP) that offers mentoring, life-skills training and support for homeless individuals transitioning to permanent housing.
