Description
CHS was established in February, 2000 and awarded 501(c)(3) charitable organization status by the IRS on March 8 of the same year. CHS was established to provide opportunities to further support the low-income community members CHS and our parent organization, the Community Services Consortium, serves. CSC is an ORS 190 non-profit Community Action Agency serving the low-income communities of Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties. All services and programs of CSC and CHS focus on defining and co-opting issues related to the causes and consequences of poverty. CHS’s focus is on housing and related educational endeavors.
